飞惶 Fei Huang Winter Tree Gaiwan Set

This exquisite gaiwan is the work of the 飞惺 (Fēi Xīng) atelier — a specialist studio known for painterly glaze work of exceptional refinement. The gaiwan's surface is glazed in a deep tenmoku black, across which fine amber-brown tree branches spread in a naturalistic winter forest pattern — each branch drawn by the kiln's heat, not by hand, yet startlingly lifelike in its composition.

The lid sits with precision, the form is well-balanced in the hand, and the wide flared rim allows the fragrance of fine tea to open fully before each sip. A piece that rewards daily use as much as contemplative display.
