Amber Winter Tree JianZhan Tea Bowl | 朱信丛 朱哥建盏
Bare branches reaching skyward, drawn by fire alone.
This rare wide-form Jianzhan tea bowl by 朱信丛 (Zhū Xìn Cóng) of 朱哥建盏 features a glaze of extraordinary character — a warm amber-rust ground from which fine dark tree branches radiate upward and outward, as if painted by a Song Dynasty master. No brush touched this surface. The trees emerged entirely from the kiln atmosphere, the iron glaze flowing and fracturing under extreme heat into forms that mirror nature with uncanny precision.
The wide, flared form is unusual and striking — generous in the hand, with a rim that invites slow, contemplative drinking. Each viewing reveals new branches, new paths across the glaze.
Presented in a navy blue 朱信丛 gift box with 收藏證書 (Collector’s Certificate) on a natural wood display stand.
