This elegant flared Jianzhan tea bowl by 朱信丛 (Zhū Xìn Cóng) of 朱哥建盏 is defined by a dramatic concentration of gold and silver oil-drop spots gathered densely at the upper rim — cascading downward in a thinning shower toward the deep black body below. The effect is as if the bowl was held up to a snowfall and caught it all at the lip.

The contrast is striking: pure lustrous black on the lower body, then a sudden eruption of dense metallic spots at the rim — gold and silver intermixed, each one a tiny crystalline bloom formed in the final minutes of the wood firing. No two are positioned identically. No two bowls will ever look the same.

The wide flared form opens the glaze to full view and makes it ideal for appreciating the colour and aroma of lighter teas — white tea, green tea, or aged oolong.
