This wide barrel-form Jianzhan tea bowl by 朱信丛 (Zhū Xìn Cóng) of 朱哥建盏 is glazed in a rich, deep emerald — a rare colour in the Jianzhan tradition, achieved through precise control of kiln atmosphere and glaze chemistry. The surface is glossy and even, the green saturated with a depth that draws the eye inward.

The barrel form — wider and more upright than the classic conical Jianzhan — gives the bowl a grounded, meditative presence. It holds tea generously, warming well in both hands. Under natural light, the glaze takes on a living quality: shifting from deep forest to bottle green as the angle changes.
